New Amsterdam Court House was realized on the Amsterdam Zuidas and commissioned by the Central Government Real Estate Agency. With approximately 47.250 m² of offices, courtrooms, interrogation rooms and rooms for detainees. The project is the largest courthouse in the country. The public courts have huge concrete stands according to the safety regulations. The construction required massive 10m high concrete walls supporting the high 10m ceilings in the main hall. The fifth floor has special reinforced concrete foundations to support the steel superstructure built on top of the concrete superstructure.
